LISTENING WORKSHOP – Parents are listening

Fortnightly Parent Reps led peer engagement meetings that bring parents from different cultures and communities together to share their parenting skills and advocate for each other.

The meetings are focused on finding own solutions amongst themselves through listening and the sharing of experiences to develop skills to support their children and other parents to deal with the challenges of being a parent. The workshops aim to engage parents and heads of children and young people services to jointly address schools exclusions, youth dysfunction, youth offending, post code structures, gangs and other issues limiting young people growth and development.
